We dropped their debut single on the label back in March and it instantly caught on with all the sweet soul fans. This new 7" showcases the funkier, jazzier but equally soulful side of Brainstory. Their debut album "Buck", produced entirely by Leon Michels is due out in October of 2019. The A side, "Breathe", takes a page out of the Shuggie Otis playbook and then flips the script with some stoned out, west coast swag. In the words of Kevin, Brainstory's lead chanteur, "Breathe is a song about letting go of the emotional baggage of our lives in order to become who we truly are. Before this new journey can happen we got to stop back and take a breath. Relax. Use the power of this simple act to become your higher self." Side B, "Sorry" keeps on with the same swagger as Breathe but finds brother and bass player extraordinaire, Tony, taking over the vocal duties. In his words, "Sorry is an expression of the truth in a relationship that has ran it's course. Nobody wants to say it but eventually this truth prevails and becomes undeniable".

Wouldn't buy again

I have mixed feelings about this. I want to like it - and for the most part I do. However, I cant give it full marks because the item I received looks dirty. I'm not sure if there was dirt or something else in the mold or material that was used to make the plastic on the nail clippers, but there is clearly dirt or mold imbedded into the plastic. It looks horrible and makes me question the sanitariness of the items which is not something I want when it comes to items for a baby. Everything else looks ok for the most part. The brush is soft, the scissors are nice and they cut well. The nail files are similar to those you'd find in press on nail kits and they're very small making them a bit harder to use. I like that this comes in a nice case to keep everything together. I do feel this is a bit overpriced in my opinion though.
